How can i get my parents to listen to what me and my boyfriend have to say?

Okay, I first met my parents at the age of eighteen, I had been living in America since i was very little, when i moved "home" I met this guy, who is a friend of the family, he is in his 30's and we basically hit it off, we like the same music, same books, same... everything,, And for the first time in my life i felt a connection with someone! he is an amazing guy, and he got the courage to ask me out, and i said yes! we decided not to tell anyone for a few weeks till we knew what was happening ourselves, but i felt myself fall for him a little harder every time i saw him, of course in time my parents found out, and my mum was happy, but my father was completely out of his mind, he made us stop seeing each other, (which is impossible since his family have dinner with mine every week) but i tried, and it broke my heart so much, that i decided to go back to america, to study, i lasted until Christmas, when i came home for the hol's he was the only person i wanted to see, and i got my wish, it was my first real Christmas, and all the family have a get together at my Grandmothers for a party, and he was there, even though none of his family knew about "us" he went for it, (in front of his and my entire family) he walked acrss the kitchen grabbed me and kissed me so passionately i nearly fainted, of course there was war, but i didn't care, i was with the one i loved more than anything, he asked me to marry him on New Years Eve and i said YES! so now to tell my parents, I dont even know if they'll listen, are we wrong to have fallen in love with each other, what do we do!?
