Dying Hair Purple without bleach?

I think you want to acheive really vibarant noticably purple dyed hair, not just your brown hair tinted purple. There is no way with naturally dark brown hair to get a noticably purple color in your hair without bleach. A while back i wanted to dye my whole head red lol. I have medium to light brown color hair. I wasn't sure about bleach so i just got Manic Panic(as some people have suggested you to use) and all it did was tint my hair red. It was barely noticable and it went away within a week. Then i got my hair dyed professionally auburn without bleach and it still looked brown!! So unless you bleach your hair there really is no possible way with a dark hair color such as yours. :( I'm sorry i was dissapointed too when i couldn't dye mine red.
