Should i leave my mustache when just going with a stubble beard?

attempting to go for the rugged look with stubble but i have come across an interesting conundrum, should i leave the stache and let it be stubbly or shave it and leave the beard. i think it has a cleaner look but im not sure if it looks out of place or not. same question posed to the soul patch area
